Everyone deserves to be heard
So often, when we are most in need of connection, communication fails. So many of us have been hurt. We get caught in a destructive pattern where the people who matter the most to us react defensively, making it impossible for us to show our vulnerability.
I have a creative problem-solving approach to therapy, encouraging you to see your situation with a new perspective, making sure that you are heard. I have learned that sometimes very small, doable adjustments in behavior can bring about true transformation in a relationship. And yes, it starts with our relationship with ourselves--acknowledging and valuing our different parts that may be challenging to tame but make us unique.
I have worked with people of all ages and from a variety of cultures to navigate challenges in their relationships. I'm trained in a wide variety of therapeutic modalities and constantly strive to develop my skills.
Before earning my Masters in Social Work from NYU I was a classically-trained musician and music teacher. In fact, I play oboe, the instrument used to tune the symphony orchestra. Through music I have experienced the joy of contributing my voice to something bigger, beautiful, and life-affirming. It is my mission to help people to reach their full potential and live in harmony with others.
